The Villars Mentorship Program is designed to empower a new generation of Systems Leaders to thrive within planetary boundaries by fostering meaningful intergenerational collaboration and knowledge exchange between experts of the Villars Institute Community and Villars Fellows through a one-to-many model.
The program equips Villars Fellows with invaluable perspectives and guidance while enabling mentors to play a pivotal role in developing the mindset and skills of future leaders dedicated to driving transformative change for a sustainable planet.

The Villars Mentorship Program is a year-long initiative that begins at the start of each year and offers two main tracks. Villars Fellows can apply to join after completing Year 1 of the Fellowship. Each month, Fellows can join online interactive sessions led by a single mentor, designed to foster deep learning and connection. With a maximum of 15 participants per session, these small-group conversations encourage meaningful dialogue and personalized engagement.
Leadership Track: Focused on leadership across disciplines, this track invites mentors to share their personal leadership journeys and the values, challenges, and lessons that have shaped their paths. Fellows gain perspective on diverse leadership approaches and reflect on their own development as emerging leaders.
Knowledge Track: Dedicated to deepening expertise, this track features mentors who share insights and advancements from specific areas of knowledge such as science, technology, policy, the arts, and sustainability. Fellows engage directly with experts to explore emerging trends, practical applications, and cross-disciplinary connections that inform their projects and broaden their understanding of global challenges.
